The department facilitates group research on various aspects of Physics and Technology. The academic staff members work in collaboration with foreign and local universities / institutions, with funds received internationally and locally. The financial support of the International Science Programs and research collaboration with the Uppsala University, Sweden has been particularly beneficial and has enabled the department to produce significant outputs during the last couple of decades. This has placed the department at the forefront in several scientific areas.
