My doctoral study was basically focused on Agricultural Biology and Plant Protection Technology.. Therefore, I have good theoretical and practical knowledge with regard to the subjects of General Microbiology, Applied Microbiology, Bacteriology, Mycology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioprocess Technology, Bioinformatics, Immunology, Transcriptomic Analysis, Gene Expression Analysis, Plant Pathology, Plant Protection, Disease Diagnostics, Molecular Taxonomy, Genetic Engineering and Postharvest Biology Technology. In addition to that, I have been working on Postharvest Pathology of perishables and non-perishable agricultural crop commodities. Analysis of a differentially-expressed gene profile in resistant banana cultivar after infection by Colletotrichum musae, Development of DNA probe to detect Bergamo Viruses in Chili plant tissues, Effect of Crop Management Practices on Populations of Soil Microorganisms, Evaluation of traditional practices to manage Callosobruches sp. (pulse beetle) in black grams’ storage, Acceptability and proximate evaluation of a new biscuit developed using Pouteria Campesina [Lavulu] fruit flour, Determination of the expression of defense-related genes in papaya leaf tissues of plants treated with plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) to manage papaya ringspot virus (PRSV) disease and Development of a DNA probe to detect the pathogen of white leaf disease of sugarcane are some of my previous publication on plant pathology. In contrast, I am working on biological control of postharvest diseases, identification of major causal organisms of economically important fruit crops and screening and identification of potential antagonistic microorganisms/bio control agents from soil, fruit and leaf surfaces
