  1. Principle investigator- for the research grant from National Research Council Sri Lanka. Rs. 3,850,000 “Cancer stem cells targeted drug leads  from  Sri Lankan endemic plants for  breast cancer”-2014-2017.
  2. Investigator: Development of anti cancer compound libraries-from NSF Sri Lanka-8 Million for first six months from a 85 Million five year project-2017-2021
  3. Principle Investigator: International research grant form International Foundation for Science (IFS) –USD 12 000 to carry out the project entitled “Preliminary screening of selected mangrove plants in Sri Lanka for anti cancer activity and isolation of active anti carcinogenic compounds from a selected plant. 2013-2015 (completed).
  4. Investigator (with five other principle investigators) for the research grant from Ministry of Higher Education Sri Lanka- Rs. 18.9 Million. “Drug leads from medicinal plants in Sri Lanka”: 2012-2015 (completed).
  5. Investigator for the research grant from ministry of indigenous medicine Sri Lanka- Rs. 370, 000. “Modifications of bleomycin induced cytogenetic changes by Sri Lankan herbal decoction of Nigella sativa Seeds, Hemidesmus indicus Roots and Smilax glabra rhizome on peripheral blood lymphocyte and its direct cytotoxicity on human hepatocellular carcinoma (HepG2 cells)”- 2011- (completed).
  6. Co-investigator: Determining the role of dengue NS1 in the pathogenesis of dengue infections- from National Research Council Sri Lanka. 5 Million-2015-2018.
